Housing
SHELTER WHEN YOU NEED IT
A place to land. A path forward.
Stable housing changes everything.
At St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho, housing is more than a roof overhead. It is the foundation for health, stability, and the ability to move forward. We offer a range of housing programs designed to meet people where they are. Some provide structured, supportive environments. Others offer pathways into independent housing. And our permanent housing provides long-term stability.
Each program plays a different role, but all are grounded in dignity, accountability, and the belief that forward movement is possible.

Our Approach
We believe housing is the foundation for everything else. We also believe in second chances. We work to remove as many barriers as possible while maintaining clear and fair guidelines for all residents. Every household is treated with respect, compassion, and integrity.
Low Income Permanent Housing
For 80 years, St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho has worked alongside our neighbors to create pathways to stability, dignity, and a place to call home.
Today, we operate more than 200 units of permanent, income-based housing across North Idaho, serving seniors, individuals living with disabilities, and families navigating financial hardship.
Our goal is simple: safe, stable housing where people can rebuild, rest, and move forward.

A Mission Built by Faith & Community
For 80 years, this region has carried forward a mission built by faith and strengthened by community: feeding families, housing individuals, offering warmth during the coldest nights, and opening doors for people who feel forgotten.
The next 80 years will be shaped by partners who believe in investing in the wellbeing of their neighbors. You make it possible for children to sleep safely, for seniors to stay warm, for families to access support, and for individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity. Thank you!
