The HELP Center is here to connect you to the support, resources, and people who will walk alongside you.

HOUSED AT THE HELP CENTER

A Network of Support Under One Roof

The HELP Center is more than a building — it’s the operational home for many of our programs, partner agencies, and administration. Bringing services together under one roof means neighbors find the help they need without navigating multiple buildings or systems.

  • ICARE — Partnering with parents to build stronger families and prevent child abuse and neglect.
  • CACFP — Child & Adult Care Food Program. Coming soon.
  • Case Management — Walk-in support for housing, income, and long-term stability planning.
  • Rent & Utility Assistance — Emergency aid for neighbors facing eviction or shut-off notices.
  • Region 1 Access Point — Coordinated entry for housing and homelessness services across North Idaho, including assessment, referrals, and placement into appropriate programs.
  • Administration Offices — Home base for the SVDPNI team and leadership.

Basic Needs Support

Access to essential resources, including:

 – Food and meal connections

– Hygiene supplies and basic necessities

 – Clothing and thrift store vouchers

 – Referrals for shelter and housing

These are often the first steps toward stability.

Case Management

Support does not stop at immediate needs.

Our team works alongside you to understand your situation and help build a plan forward. This may include:

 – Housing navigation

 – Income and employment support

 – Connections to healthcare and mental health services

 – Ongoing guidance and accountability

Meeting Space for Community Partners

We believe collaboration strengthens impact.

Meeting space at the HELP Center is available for partner agencies and organizations working to support our community.

This shared space allows services to stay connected, accessible, and responsive to real needs.

A Mission Built by Faith & Community

For 80 years, this region has carried forward a mission built by faith and strengthened by community: feeding families, housing individuals, offering warmth during the coldest nights, and opening doors for people who feel forgotten.

The next 80 years will be shaped by partners who believe in investing in the wellbeing of their neighbors. You make it possible for children to sleep safely, for seniors to stay warm, for families to access support, and for individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity. Thank you!

Seasonal Warming Center

When temperatures drop below 33 degrees, the Warming Center opens to ensure no one is left outside in dangerous conditions.

The Warming Center operates nightly from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, typically November through March.

Transportation is provided from Father Bill’s Kitchen after dinner, with return to our campus at 6:00 AM.

Guests receive a warm place to sleep, a meal, and essential items such as a sleeping bag, socks, and hygiene supplies.

This is a low-barrier, life-saving space focused on safety, dignity, and care during the coldest nights of the year.

If you are in need of help, please call Shelter Services at 208-664-3095 ext. 321 or email annie@stvincentdepaulcda.org

The Men's and Women’s Shelters

Our shelters provide a safe, clean place to rest and begin moving forward.

Each shelter serves up to twelve guests per night. Individuals can check in at the HELP Center each morning at 8:00 AM to inquire about availability.

Guests may stay for up to 90 days. During that time, they work alongside our team to build a plan for what comes next, including housing, income, and long-term stability.

This is a place to regroup, find support, and take meaningful steps forward.
